Theme:
‘Developing a Resilient Community through Lifelong Learning’
Synopsis:
A lifelong learning mindset is critical to succeeding in today’s fast-changing global economy. The current fourth industrial revolution is rendering certain skills obsolete, while higher-order competencies like complex problem solving, social and systems competencies, are valued. To thrive in the future workplace and be resilient in the face of economic turbulence, the community must be adaptable and nimble in acquiring new knowledge and seizing new opportunities. This dialogue seeks to discuss (1) how youth and workers in the Malay/Muslim community perceive challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, (2) how they can adopt a lifelong learning mindset, and (3) how they can take advantage of opportunities to broaden their horizons.
